Colonel Bree Fram served 23 years in the US Space Force and Air Force. In her final job, she developed requirements for future space capabilities. Previously, she developed spacecraft and brought life-saving technologies from the laboratory to the battlefield. She was forced to retire due to the prohibition on transgender service that was implemented in 2025.
She has written three books, including Forging Queer Leaders, and hosts the Forged in Fire: LGBTQ+ Leadership podcast.
Bree has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, and PBS and her writing has been featured in the NY Times and Washington Post. She’s a keynote speaker on leadership, diversity, and inclusion.
Bree was President of SPARTA, a non-profit transgender military advocacy and support organization, was a Congressional Defense Fellow, led the Air Force LGBTQ+ Initiatives Team and was a member of the State Department’s Speaker Program.
Bree holds degrees in Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering, and National Security Studies.
