Herb Thompson is the best-selling and award-winning author of “The Transition Mission” and is currently a Program Manager for veteran programs at a large tech company.
Herb served 20 years in the U.S. Army before he retired in March 2019 as a Special Forces (Green Beret), Team Sergeant, in the 5th Special Forces Group.
Before earning his Green Beret, Herb was named 2008 U.S. Army Drill Sergeant of the Year. He is the only person in the Army's history to have achieved this award and the Green Beret.
