Jeffrey Freeman is a member of Clinton McCausland American Legion Post 190 in Ripon, Calif., and California American Legion District 11 Adjutant. Nearly a decade ago, as he struggled with health issues and depression, Jeffrey attempted suicide. In the aftermath, he found The American Legion, a renewed sense of purpose, and credits this with for saving his life. Today he shares his story in hopes of helping other veterans who may need support.
