Connecticut State Trooper Kyle Kaelberer has been a police officer for 15 years, and a State Trooper for 9 years. He works with a K-9 on the Connecticut State Police Tactical team and patrols I-84 in Tolland County, Ct.
During a patrol on Sept. 11, 2021, Trooper Kaelberer stopped to check on a driver that pulled off the highway and activated their hazard lights. The bodycam footage of the interaction with the young veteran inside the vehicle has since gone viral, and Trooper Kaelberer has been lauded for his touching show of humanity.
Trooper Kaelberer’s grandfather served in the Army during World War II and he grew up in a community wheremany Vietnam veterans served as mentors.
