Noelle Austin-Jones

Noelle Austin-Jones, a North Carolina native, first began with the Armed Forces Wellness Center (AFWC) as a Health Promotion Technician at the Camp Zama, Japan AFWC in 2015. In 2018, she started work as a Health Educator at the Fort Cavasos, TX, AFWC. Currently, she is the Director/Supervisory Health Educator for the Fort George G. Meade, MD AFWC where she has been since 2021.

She attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and went on to California University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Master of Science in Exercise Science with concentrations in Wellness, Fitness, and Health Promotion. She also earned certifications as a Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer, Behavior Change Specialist, and Flexibility and Stretch Coach from the National Academy of Sports Medicine where she received a Certificate of Distinction for her accomplishments. She was presented the Iron Mike volunteer award for her hours and dedication as a volunteer to the DSTB BN for the 82nd ABN DIV, as well as recognition for her hours of volunteer work in Cape Fear Valley General Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She served on the Army Community Services Family Action Planning Steering Committee and served as a delegate for the 82nd ABN DIV to FAP national planning meeting in 2009.

Born and raised in a military family, and later becoming a military spouse, Mrs. Austin-Jones is deeply committed the well-being of our military members, dependents, retirees, and defense civilians. She and her spouse of 19 years have two children together, and they enjoy traveling, hiking, and supporting the arts in their schools together.
