Sgt. Maj. Clifford Lovejoy grew up in Des Moines, Iowa. When he was in the 6th grade, Lovejoy was inspired when a special forces recruiter visited his classroom. He later joined U.S. Army special operations, and built a 39-year military career that included four combat tours and 17 years serving at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He ultimately earned the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
His educational successes include a master’s degree in Emergency Disaster Management and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology (Applied Clinical & Diversity Inequality), as well as Conventional Physical Security/Crime Prevention, Antiterrorism, Leans Six Sigma Black Belt, and instructor certification.
