Dr. Ruth Moore is a doctor of Mind-Body Medicine in Maine and is board certified in Clinical (medical) Aromatherapy through the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA) and the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapists (NAHA). She has an integrative background in neuroscience, behaviorism, and functional health, and has additional post-doctoral training in Integrative Medicine and Mindful Leadership from Saybrook University.
As both a provider and a US Navy veteran, Dr. Moore is an expert in treating Stress-Based Health Conditions and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) with Complementary, Alternative, and Integrative medicines. She specializes in Functional Health and Mind-Body practices to restore balance in the neuro-endocrine and autonomic nervous systems. With her convenient in-person and on-line presences, she has a thriving, global practice centered in Ellsworth, Maine.
To help increase access to care for isolated or rural patients, Dr. Moore has recently published a self-help and coaching book for trauma survivors, Building Resiliency: 32 Days to a Better You. She holds weekly, on-line group sessions as readers navigate through their traumas and learn healthy resiliency practices.
Dr. Moore is a member of American Legion Post 207 in Ellsworth, Maine.
