Ashley Gorbulja proudly served her country as an Army National Guard veteran for over eight years and continues to serve her community as a Public Affairs Specialist for the Veterans Health Administration and Founder & CEO of GuideOn Education Consulting LLC. Ashley is a consummate professional and a leading voice in supporting America's military-connected community.
Ashley is a driven, passionate, and strategic visionary that has experienced increasing organizational responsibility in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. She has dedicated her career to building nationally recognized programs, brands, and communities through strategic communications and marketing. She focuses on improving the outcomes of non-traditional students in higher education, empowering call-to-action storytelling to demystify the military-civilian divide, and improving local, state, and federal policies and programs.
Over the past seven and a half years, while working in higher education and pursuing her education, Ashley graduated debt-free with three degrees and received over $63k in scholarships! Ashley earned her Public Health from the Consortium of Eastern Ohio of Public Health, a Northeast Ohio Medical University program emphasizing concentration in military transition, family policy, and community wellness. She also holds bachelor's degrees in The Science of Education and The Science of Organizational Supervision with a minor in Psychology from The University of Akron. Ashley is currently pursuing her second Masters's in Public Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
Ashley was a 2019 top ten finalist for Ms. Veteran America, an accomplished Legionnaire helping foster University of Akron American Legion Post 808 as a Past Commander, a volunteer across multiple military spouse and family organizations; a national women veteran advocate, academic, and community liaison to a plethora of policy and issues about the veteran community.
Ashley has been featured on numerous podcasts, publications, panels and recognized for her outstanding achievements by non-profits, state, and federal organizations. Ashley is a force to be reckoned with, challenging others with the mantra: I Can. I Will. Watch Me.
